How old do you have to be to volunteer?
All children must be at least 10 years old and anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Why is a background check required to volunteer at the Women’s Campus?
Because of the sensitive nature of some of our guests’ situations, all those interested in volunteering at the Women’s campus are subject to a background check prior to volunteering. This is for the safety of our guests.

Where is your donation center?
Our Donation Center is located at 616 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. It is open Monday through Saturday, from 7 am to 7 pm for your convenience.

Do you make pickups for donations?
With limited resources, we are unable to pick up individual donations. You are welcome to bring your donations to our Donation Center, which is located at 616 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. It is open Monday through Saturday, from 7 am to 7 pm for your convenience.

Can I get a copy of your 990?

Where do I go or who do I call if I need help?
The Nashville Rescue Mission operates an emergency homeless shelter where we provide food, clothing and shelter to those in need. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You are welcome to stay at the Mission as a guest for a long as you want. Learn more about our emergency services.

We also operate a residential life-recovery program. The life-recovery programs at the Nashville Rescue Mission provide the Christian support and guidance for those seeking to recover from self-destruction and addiction. Learn more about our life-recovery programs.

 
Life Recovery Program Steps:

  1. Meet with a chaplain for an on-site interview*.
  2. Once accepted into program, complete a minimum of two weeks in the first phase, formally known as “Gateway” in preparation for the program.
  3. Life recovery program includes GED classes, counseling and job training.
  4. Upon graduation transitional housing is offered until financial and personal affairs are settled at a very low/reasonable monthly fee.
  5. Start a new life and become a productive member of the community.
